Payouts

Pay suppliers from a list you trust.

People you pay keeps every destination you have saved, whether it can be paid yet, and whether you trust it. A payout starts from that list and ends with your confirmation.

  • Add an IBAN, checked as you type
  • Favourites for the payees you pay most
  • Trusting a payee asks you to confirm
  • A new payee shows “Being activated” until it can be paid

From a new supplier to a payout

  1. Add a payee

Under People you pay, add a destination with a name and an IBAN. The IBAN is checked while you type, so a mistyped character shows up before you save, not after you have tried to pay.

Add a destination: bank account or crypto address, a name, and a typed IBAN with its bank named below it
  2. Trust it, and confirm

Trusting a destination is a separate step from saving it. The app asks you to confirm it, the same way it asks you to confirm a payment. A destination you stop trusting stays in the list until you remove it.

  3. Pay with a reference

Send starts from the same list. Add a reference your supplier will see on their statement. The review names who is paid, the account it leaves from, the rail and the amount; then you slide and confirm.

Review a payout at a desk

On a wide screen you type the amount instead of tapping it, and the review sits in the wide column beside the side rail. It names who you pay, the currency they are paid in, the account it leaves from, the rail and the amount. Nothing is sent until you slide and confirm.

Choose how you pay, then who

Send asks how you are sending it first: a bank transfer to an IBAN over SEPA, a wallet address on chain, or a Lightning invoice, each with a line that says what it takes. Below it, your favourites come first and everyone else follows. A payee that is still being activated cannot be chosen, and the reason sits beside it.

Trusting a payee is a decision, so it asks you to confirm.

Saving a destination and trusting it are two different things, and the app keeps them apart.

Questions about payouts

Can I pay many suppliers at once?

No. There are no bulk payouts. Each payment is its own: one payee, one amount, one review and one confirmation.

What can a reference contain?

Letters, digits, spaces and a few punctuation marks: / - ? : ( ) . , ' +. Letters with accents are refused as you type, because banks drop or change them on the way, and your supplier would read something you did not write.

Why is a new payee not ready?

A new destination has to be activated before it can be paid. Until then it shows “Being activated” in People you pay, and Send lists it with the reason instead of letting you choose it.

Can I remove a payee?

Yes. If you trust it, stop trusting it first, then remove it. It disappears from the list, and payments you already made to it are not affected.
