Identity check

See how far your verification has got.

Your profile shows where your identity check stands and what comes next. The check itself opens on a page of its own.

  • The check opens on a separate page, in a new tab
  • The profile marks each step as it is done
  • Something still needed: “Finish verifying” picks it up
  • Not accepted: “Try again” sends it once more
Your verification on the profile: Account opened and Identity checked, both ticked

The steps on your profile

  1. Account opened

The first step is already marked when you open your profile for the first time: your account exists. This step asks nothing of you.

  2. Identity checked

You confirm who you are on the check page. Once the check is accepted, the step is marked and the Identity section reads “Verified”. This is the step that lets money move out of your accounts.

  3. Anything asked for later

If more details are asked for later, the profile shows that as the next step and names what is still needed. Until then there is nothing to do.

What the profile tells you

Every state of the check has its own plain words and, when there is something for you to do, exactly one button.

  • A page of its own

The check opens from the app in a new tab, never inside the app’s own screen. When you come back, the profile shows where the check stands.

  • In review: “Finish verifying”

When the check has been sent but something is still needed, the Identity section names what is missing and offers “Finish verifying” to go back and add it.

  • Not accepted: “Try again”

A check that was not accepted can be sent again, and the section offers “Try again”. A check that cannot be sent again says so, and shows no button that would only fail.

  • Every state in plain words

Not started, In progress, Being reviewed, On hold, Verified, Not accepted, Suspended or Closed: the Identity section always shows one of these, so you know where you are.

The Identity section marked Being reviewed, with a Finish verifying button
The Identity section marked Not accepted, saying the check can be submitted again, with a Try again button

A balance that cannot be confirmed says so.

The same plain rule holds on the home screen. While it still has to be confirmed that it is you, an account reads “Unavailable until verified” instead of showing a zero, and the figure is shown again once that is done.

Questions about the identity check

Why does 0pay ask who I am?

Money can move out of your accounts only once your identity is checked. The profile shows the check as a step of its own, so you can always see whether it is done.

Where does the check happen?

On a separate page that the app opens in a new tab, rather than inside its own screen. You start it from your profile, and the profile shows the outcome.

What if it is not accepted?

The Identity section reads “Not accepted” and offers “Try again”, so you can send the check once more. If a check cannot be sent again, the section says so instead of offering a button.

Can I see my progress?

Yes. Your profile shows each step, from the account being opened to the identity being checked, along with the state of the current check and anything still needed.
